The Kentucky Headhunters and Confederate Railroad Live in Marietta, Ohio. Here Is What You Need to Know.

The Kentucky Headhunters and Confederate Railroad with special guest Ray Scott, Saturday October 24, 2026, at Tower Event and Conference Center in Marietta, Ohio.

Yes, it is really happening. The Kentucky Headhunters and Confederate Railroad are bringing a full night of country, blues, and Southern rock to the Grand Hall at Tower Event & Conference Center, with special guest Ray Scott opening the show. Here is a closer look at the three acts taking the stage on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The Kentucky Headhunters

Billboard once called them the great American rock and roll band, and they have spent decades earning it. Their 1989 debut, Pickin’ on Nashville, sold more than two million copies and won a Grammy, powered by favorites like Dumas Walker and their rowdy take on Oh Lonesome Me. What sets them apart is where they come from. More than fifty years in, the band still writes and records at the Practice House, an old family farmhouse on a quiet country road outside Edmonton, Kentucky, where they once made records with Chuck Berry’s legendary piano player, Johnnie Johnson.

Confederate Railroad

Here is a fun coincidence. Confederate Railroad first made their name as a house band in Marietta, Georgia, and now they are headed to our Marietta here in Ohio. Frontman Danny Shirley and the group cut their teeth backing outlaw legends David Allan Coe and Johnny Paycheck before their double-platinum debut delivered a run of hits, including Queen of Memphis, Jesus and Mama, and the tongue-in-cheek crowd favorite Trashy Women. Decades later, they remain one of the most entertaining live shows in country music.

With Special Guest Ray Scott

Opening the night is Ray Scott, a North Carolina singer-songwriter with a deep baritone and a true traditional-country streak. Before he ever stepped up to the microphone as a headliner, Nashville noticed his pen. Both Randy Travis and Clay Walker recorded his songs. Today he is best known for his own anthems, including My Kind of Music and the fan favorite Those Jeans.
